In 2023, due to heavy load-shedding and high electricity unit cost, consumers both areas (rural and urban) in Pakistan rely on solar DC systems for residential installation
In Pakistan, consumers have turned to solar charge controllers as a smart solution to combat the challenges of heavy load-shedding and soaring electricity unit costs. With frequent power outages disrupting daily life, rural and urban both areas users have found solar charge controller system (DC System) to be a reliable way of harnessing solar energy which is cost effective.
These devices play a crucial role in regulating the charge and discharge of solar batteries, ensuring optimal energy storage and utilization. By capturing and storing solar power during sunny hours, consumers can power their homes during blackouts, reducing their dependence on the erratic grid. Additionally, with electricity prices on the rise, solar charge controllers offer
a cost-effective alternative, allowing consumers to save on their electricity bills while contributing to a cleaner and sustainable energy future. Embracing solar charge controllers has become a popular choice for Pakistanis, empowering them to take control of their energy needs and alleviate the impact of load-shedding and high electricity costs.
While some of the charge controllers available in Pakistan may not be of the highest quality, their affordability and widespread availability have compelled many users to opt for them as a practical solution. Despite the quality concerns, these charge controllers still offer an accessible entry point for consumers to harness solar power and mitigate the challenges of load-shedding and expensive electricity.

Solar Panel Price in Pakistan 2023
In 2023, solar panel prices in Pakistan; are much higher than ever due to the restriction of LC opening from the Government. Most of the stocks are near the end, and solar panel demand rises due to the high per-unit cost of electricity and load-shedding. This price increases gradually from May 2022, and now in 2023, solar panel prices have more than a 100% increase.
To save the solar business industry, the government is requested to open the ban on LC and to come up with a plan to control the price of solar panels, not only to benefit domestic consumers. The initiative will be proven, but the energy problems of Pakistan will also achieve far-reaching results. (Prices are based on solar panel importers and distributors and retailers)
- Till April 2022 Mono Half Cut - (Rs.80 to 90/w) - ( December 2023 - Rs.59/W to Rs.60/W )
- Till April 2022 Mono N-Type - (Rs.95/w to 100/w) - ( December 2023 - Rs.60/W to Rs.63/W )
